Parking zones are categorized under three broad categories, commercial, non-commercial and special parking zones. These categories include different types of parking zones within them, that are located across the city and are priced accordingly.
It is also important to know the parking zones and their prices when you hire a car from a luxury car rental in Dubai. Renters need to pay the parking charges themselves, therefore knowing about the various zones and prices in advance is helpful.
In order to help you better understand the parking structure, we have listed out the Dubai parking zones map, their prices, and other fines you should know. Mentioned below is a table containing the three broad categories of parking and their sub-zones:

Commercial parking in Dubai
As the name suggests, commercial parking refers to all the roadside parking spots located at commercial areas of the city. Both zone A and zone B come under the commercial parking category in Dubai. Therefore, the RTA parking charges for Zone is as follows:
- Prices start at AED 4 for an hour of parking
- For 2 hours of parking the price charged is AED 8
- 3 hours of parking will cost you AED 12
- AED 16 is charged for 4 hours of parking
- Lastly, half an hour of parking will cost AED 2
These are prices specific to zone A of the commercial area, with prices varying for zone B. Mentioned below are zone B parking rates for different time slots:
- Prices per hour of parking in zone B is AED 3
- AED 6 is charged for 2 hours of parking
- For 3 hours of parking AED 8 is charged
- 4 hours of parking in zone B will set you back AED 12
- AED 15 is charged for 5 hours of parking
- For full day of 24 hours the parking charge in zone B is AED 20

Non-Commercial parking areas
A non-commercial parking area refers to the residential localities of the city. Parking zone C and zone D come under this category. The charges for these zone C are as mentioned below:
- AED 2 for an hour
- For 2 hours charges are AED 5
- Parking charge for 3 hours is AED 8
- AED 11 for a total of 4 hours of parking
Zone D residential areas have some of the cheapest parking charges in Dubai. Following are the prices:
- For one of hour of parking, charges are AED 2
- AED 4 for 2 hours of parking
- Parking charges for 3 hours is AED 5
- For a full day of parking in zone D charges are AED 7
Zones C and D cover all residential non-commercial parking localities across the city of Dubai. These zones are also referred to as category two locations. Moreover, some of the most affordable parking spots in Dubai are in places like Al Nahda and Al Qusais.
Special parking Zones
The special parking zones like zone E, F and G include a combination of underground parking and public spots. To give you a clear picture of which areas each zones cover and what their prices are refer the table below:

Mentioned below are the different areas zones E, F and G cover:
- Zone E: The underground as well as public parking lots located at Waterfront Market. Furthermore, there are no parking charges for underground parking.
- Zone F: Telcom areas like Knowledge Village Hotel, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City.
- Zone G: Dubai HealthCare City, Downtown resident areas, and Marasi Bay Area.
Other parking areas in Dubai
Apart from the above-mentioned parking categories and zones, the Jumeirah Lake Towers parking zones are controlled by DMCC in collaboration with RTA. Hence, these areas include a combination of residential and commercial properties therefore the prices for these locations range anywhere from AED 4 to AED 10 for an hour.
Parking zones in Dubai — The payment methods available
Payment methods available for different types of car parking in Dubai include; SMS, RTA app, pay-as-you-go machines and RTA prepaid cards.
- mParking service: This refers to an RTS service where you can pay your parking charges through SMS (using SIM from either Etisalat or Du). Format of paying through SMS include <License Plate No.> SPACE <Zone Code> SPACE <Parking Duration> 7275 (PARK).
- RTA App: To pay parking charges through the app, the steps are quite straightforward. You need to enter your vehicle details, i.e. its plate number, location, set duration and make the payment.
- Prepaid cards: RTA offers different types of parking cards, you can make the payment in advance and pay-as-you-go. Yearly charges range anywhere from AED 1,400 to AED 8,000 depending on the car you choose.
- Parking machines: These machines are available across all parking zones in Dubai. All you need to do is to put your vehicle license plate number, select time and insert coins to make your payment.
